  • Dries to a hard, opaque finish
  • Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
  • Maintains paint adhesion and durability without flaking
  • Provides an archival finish

How to Use -

Application - Apply the Crackle Paste directly from the tub using a palette knife. You can either overpaint it once it’s dry or mix it into your acrylic colour before application. For the best crackling effect, apply the paste in a thickness of 5 to 10 mm. thicker applications will result in more pronounced crackling but will require a longer drying time.

Mixing with Acrylic Colour - If you prefer to mix the paste with acrylic colour, use a ratio of no more than 15% paint to 85% medium. This ensures the paste retains its crackling properties while adding colour to the cracks.

Varying Effects - The degree of crackling varies depending on the thickness of the application. Thicker layers will create more significant crackling effects, while thinner layers will produce subtler textures. Experiment with different thicknesses to achieve your desired look.

Sealing Wooden Surfaces - When using Crackle Paste on wood, it’s important to seal the surface with a base layer of fluid or gel medium and let it dry completely before applying the Crackle Paste. This preparation helps enhance adhesion and prevents unwanted absorption.

Finishing Touches - Once the Crackle Paste is dry, you can paint over it to add further detail and colour. The crackled texture will provide a unique, visually interesting surface for additional artistic work.

The Galeria Acrylics line consists of 60 magnificent colors in 60ml tubes and 500ml Jars making it ideal for art & design students, hobbyists, muralists, decorative painters and fine artists who work on a grand scale.

Although Galeria Acrylics are sometimes referred to as a fine grade acrylic, their high pigment levels deliver professional results with significantly better covering power than many similarly priced brands
