Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylic Clear Gesso is a high-quality primer for preparing canvas, paper or other surfaces for oils & acrylic colours. It is made from unpigmented clear resin which provides excellent tooth but dries completely clear, not milky like other clear gessoes, therefore it doesn't change the original appearance of your surface. It adds tooth to ensure that colours will hold, and dries fast and clear, though it can also be used to make own coloured gesso by blending it with acrylic colours.

It is fast drying and provides a balanced absorbency. Mix Clear Gesso with colour for coloured grounds in a ratio of 1 part colour & 4 parts clear gesso. It dries to a flexible ground suitable for acrylic, oil and alkyd painting. It is also suitable for preparing a surface for pastel or charcoal.
